6 Misconceptions regarding studying  in USA

Although there are some ,misconceptions regarding buying in USA and in this article we will shed a light over the five key misconceptions regarding the subject.

  1. US is only for the rich students

There is a misconception that the tuition fees in the USA are too high which is incorrect. The fees range in American universities is very diversified.  American universities offer scholarships for education at all levels. PhD programs are generally 100% fully funded. Besides this there are great opportunities for other scholarships during your education. Universities even have portals for scholarships, where students can basically keep their profile up to date and can apply for multiple scholarships directory from the portal.

  1. Student Visa is very difficult to obtain

If you are confident and have put in enough effort for your interview preparation. Getting a US visa can be a piece of cake. Interview is the most crucial part of your US visa application . It is very very important that you are very well prepared for it. The VO is not interested in listening to your questions based on the internet. Consultant usually provide a sheet of paper with a list to memories, this creates a negative effect in the eyes of the VO. What they see is  as a student that has not put in their personal thoughts and ideas in their interview.

  1. If you were refused of any visa in the past, it is unlikely to get the visa.

If you are rejected a US visa that means you can always reapply. But make sure to better prepare your interview and take any documents in case you missed the first time.

  1. Getting a US student visa is expensive.

Contrary to Australian and UK universities, US universities don’t ask for deposits or payments in advance. Consultants will ask students to pay the fees in advance so they can get their commission. This is unfair to students that have to pay a huge chuck of fees without getting their visa. Applying for USA study visa basically means simply paying the government fees and embassy fees.
